Junior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer

If you are passionate about running software in the cloud and finding solutions to problems through agility, we want to talk with you! You will be a key contributor to piplanning.io, which is a digital collaboration software providing next level experience in online collaboration. In this role, you will take responsibility for operating and by further improving our application deployment. You will work with all team members on a daily basis and be a part of a growing team designing, building and supporting a product used by up to the largest companies across the globe.

In this role you'll get the chance to:

• Help our developers to deploy their features fast, secure and comfortable to production.
• Harden Kubernetes clusters, VMs and databases to improve the security posture.
• From and shape the backend architecture.
• Regularly tackle the largest and most complex problems in the area of scaling and security.
• Keep our application up and running by considering aspects from simple failover all the way to disaster-recovery.
• Use the following technologies: Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, MongoDB, Postgres, Redis, NATS, WAMP.
• Occasionally you may also touch the code of our backend services (Python).
• ... And most importantly: A chance to learn and master state of the art technologies and concepts

Sounds exciting? In order to set you up for delighting our customers from day one, we'll expect you to have this on your first day:

• A super strong will to learn and master cloud native technologies.
• Independent: You are not shy of learning new things on your own.
• Either professional experience in the software development / Linux system administration or a degree in computer science.
• Practical experience with Linux systems and networking.
• Good understanding of containerization and orchestration.
• You know about CI / CD and event driven micro-services.
• Experience with Python is a big plus.
• Fast learner, can contribute from day one, and can bring good opinions to the table.
