Whenever you have a look at a physical Program Board, you miss some information. We all know that in a distributed setting, talking to someone sitting in another room to clarify a simple question wastes time. If we lose time, we might need to extend our PI Planning by another day. And we very likely won’t get management to approve the necessary budget. So what can we do?
In the piplanning app, the Product Manager has a look at the Program Board. If they are interested in the relationship of a certain Feature to the underlying planned User Stories, all they have to do is click on the link label. There they get an overview of which sticky types are linked to that particular Feature, on which Team Board they sit and for which iteration they’re planned.
